Tasks and duties

The central library consists of the following divisions:

  • Technical Procedures Division: it specializes with technical preparation of information sources of selection, acquisition, technical processing and storage, and it is managed by an employee who holds –at least- a master’s degree in libraries and information science.
  • Customer Services Division: it is concerned with providing libraries and information services that achieve optimal use For information sources and meeting the needs of the beneficiaries of information, managed by an employee who holds – at least – a master’s degree in library and information science. 
  • The Automated Systems Division: It is specialized in everything related to the use of information and communication technology in office procedures and services, and it is managed by an employee who holds – at least – a master’s degree in libraries and information science.
  • Administrative Affairs Division: it is concerned with managing personnel affairs, accounts, administrative services, public relations and media, and is headed by an employee who is at least graduates from the faculty of Administration and Economics.
